Traditionally, as the head of RTC, I spend my thanksgiving mornings emailing our staff and clients to express thanks for all the joy they’ve brought to my life throughout the year. This year, we have extended our family beyond our staff and clients to you, our Around the Table Community. And I want to express my profound thanks for your interest, your participation, and your sharing of the work we do and the messages our authors are championing to make this world a better place.
I also want to serve you up with a helping of love. A few months ago we adopted the core value of love. Leading with Love is a practice we coined about a year ago and it defines our approach to our work and communication. If you were able to listen in on a typical RTC conversation, you would often hear, “How can we lead with love?” as we discuss the many issues that arise when people power an organization.
So this Thanksgiving holiday, as you approach that time of year when Mom can be challenging, Aunt Jenny can be demanding, and Cousin Scott will likely get drunk and set fire to the living room again, remember the phrase Lead with Love. When you come from love, regardless of the outcome, you can always feel good about you. And feeling good about you is the foundation to a life filled with joy.
Thank you for being part of our family. Thank you for trusting us to deliver you inspiration that matters to your life. Thank you for believing that each and every one of us can make a difference. Thank you for joining us around the table. Thank you for your love.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
With love and joy,
